After 48 years in the travel industry, Brexit and Covid killed my business but I wanted to remember the travel industry so I wrote it all down in my book "A Path Well Travelled" which is available on Amazon in paperback and kindle. The section on Ireland has a couple of pages of my memories of the Clan Gatherings from 2002 to 2014. I hope that some of you would like to read it. We are pleased to inform you that we will be organising the 11th International O’Dea Clan Gathering weekend from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July 2022, at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis, Co Clare. This will be a slimmed down event and we expect that numbers attending will be lower due to ongoing Covid restrictions, however restrictions have gradually eased in Ireland with our high uptake of vaccinations and booster shots.
Clan Members will be able to attend in Person or participate in selected sessions via Zoom.
We are limiting numbers able to attend to 60 participants on a first come basis and a non-refundable holding deposit of €50 per person will be required with your Expression of Interest to attend the weekend. The programme of weekend events will be similar to previous Clan gatherings.
The organisers are looking forward to another exciting and most enjoyable Clan gathering this year and look forward to renewing old acquaintances and meeting new attendees.
