Shane O’Dea Inaugurated as Taoiseach (Clan Chieftain)
At a ceremony held at the O’Dea Castle during the 11th International Clan Gathering in July 2022 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Shane O’Dea from Dublin, Ireland was inaugurated as Taoiseach (Clan Chieftain) of the Dysert O’Dea Clan. He will hold office until July 2025 when the next Clan Gathering is due to be held.

Kevin O’Day elected as Tanaiste (Chieftain Elect)
At the 11th International Clan Gathering held in July 2022 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Kevin O’Day of Missouri, USA was elected as Tanaiste (Chieftain Elect). He will take up the position of Taoiseach (Clan Chieftain) at the next Clan Gathering due to be held in Ennis in July 2025.

The 11th International O’Dea Clan Gathering will be held from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July 2022 in Ennis, Co Clare
Dear Clan Members,
We are pleased to inform you that we will be organising the 11th International O’Dea Clan Gathering weekend from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July 2022, at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis, Co Clare. This will be a slimmed down event and we expect that numbers attending will be lower due to ongoing Covid restrictions, however restrictions have gradually eased in Ireland with our high uptake of vaccinations and booster shots.
Clan Members will be able to attend in Person or participate in selected sessions via Zoom.
We are limiting numbers able to attend to 60 participants on a first come basis and a non-refundable holding deposit of €50 per person will be required with your Expression of Interest to attend the weekend. The programme of weekend events will be similar to previous Clan gatherings.
The organisers are looking forward to another exciting and most enjoyable Clan gathering this year and look forward to renewing old acquaintances and meeting new attendees.
