Hello!
I was wondering what the rates are for the upcoming 2018 reunion for registration and such. I live in Ireland and am wondering what all fees there would be in order to attend the clan gathering. I had read that information and bookings will start in November, but I may forget and lose out on the opportunity to register. If everything will be released in November, I can wait, or perhaps can be emailed to me off forum. This would be the first clan gathering I may be able to attend, so I’m anxious to start planning and seeing if finances will allow me to attend.
Thank you for any information!

Andrew,
I expect the registration fees will be similar to those for the last Clan Gathering in 2014:
- 120 Euro per person for paid-up members of the Dysert O’Dea Clan Association and 140 Euro per person for non-members, with under 12s free and under 16s half price.
- The registration fee covered: registration, receptions, banquet on Sunday night, lectures, entertainment and transport to our ancestral home of Dysert O’Dea.
We usually have optional tours which are not included in the registration fee. The optional tours in 2014 were:
- 55 Euro for the exclusive O’Dea Clan Medieval Banquet at Bunratty Castle (includes transport).
- 20 Euro per person for an all day Boat Trip to Inisheer, the Aran Islands. (Includes transport to and from the Old Ground Hotel and the boat harbour).
- 25 Euro per person for a Dolphin Watching Boat Trip which will be on the Shannon Estuary plus a visit to Loop Head peninsula.
The fees for the 2018 Clan Gathering may be higher than those in 2014 and the optional tours may not be the same as last time but this will give you some ballpark figures for budget purposes.
