John O Dea, proprietor of the O Dea pub in O Connell Street, Ennis is retiring on the week after Easter.  After 50 years of serving his customers behind his counter, John has decided to close his pub.

The O Connell Street pub has always been a wonderful meeting place for all during clan gatherings or, for those who come to Ennis in search of their roots.

On behalf of the clan, we wish John a long and happy retirement.  We thank him for his generosity and kindness to everybody over the years. We are happy that John has said that he will now be freer to participate in future clan gatherings.

Fad saol John.
